Updates on COVID-19 Grant/Loan Programs: New Guidance for PPP Forgiveness, and Bernalillo County Launches $5 Million Grant Initiative for Small Businesses

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has updated its guidance document on securing forgiveness for federal Paycheck Protection Program loans to reflect new flexibility provided to employers in the latest legislation passed by Congress. Meanwhile, the Bernalillo County Commission approved a $5 million grant program for small businesses, utilizing funds distributed to local governments through federal CARES Act legislation. The program will offer grants of up to $10,000 to businesses with fifty or fewer employees; look for further information on eligibility and application in future Chamber communications.
