TEAM PLAYER: Incoming Chamber Board of Directors member Michael Kueker to serve as interim Lovelace Health System CEO

Michael Kueker, who currently serves as CEO of Lovelace Medical Group, has been appointed interim CEO of Lovelace Health System.

On June 19, Lovelace Health System announced that Michael Kueker, who currently serves as CEO of Lovelace Medical Group, has been appointed interim CEO of Lovelace Health System while a national search is conducted for a permanent successor.

The move was made after the resignation of President & Chief Executive Officer Troy Greer.

“We are grateful for Troy’s leadership over the past two years, during which Lovelace has continued to evolve to better serve communities across New Mexico,” said Vesta Sandoval, MD, chief medical officer of Lovelace Health System. “During his tenure, Lovelace made meaningful strides in system integration, growth and continuous quality improvement. With Michael’s leadership, we are confident the Lovelace team will continue building on this progress to meet the diverse healthcare needs of our region.”

Prior to joining Lovelace in 2023, Kueker was vice president of physician practice operations at Community Health Systems. He is a graduate of Kansas State University and earned an MBA from William Woods University.

Kueker is also an incoming Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors member.

In addition, Brian Miller, CEO of Lovelace Medical Center, will assume additional responsibilities as interim CEO for Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital.
