The Chamber helps its investor make meaningful connections with government officials and agencies, with other businesses in our community, and to important resources, information, and services.
Business to Government
It can be hard for businesses to navigate government from time to time, so when need help, they often call on the Chamber. In addition, the Chamber hosts several signature events each year the feature local, state, and federal leaders – from the Governor or our local District Attorney to the President of UNM or prominent legislators. Make plans to attend the Chamber’s annual congressional series with our U.S. Representatives and Senators, as well as our Annual Meeting in the Fall of each year.
Business to Business
The Chamber helps our local businesses meet one another. For starters, we only refer the many inquiries we get for goods and services to Chamber investors. And, throughout the year, we hold networking events for local professionals – called “Shakers and Stirrers” – at exciting, entertaining venues. We also hold hour-long connection opportunities that feature tradeshow-style booths and business-building conversations prior to each of our signature events.
Business to Resources
The Chamber connects its investors to important resources – like business seminars taught by effective leaders and free meeting spaces at our downtown office. Additionally, we keep businesses regularly informed on important news affecting our local economy, the actions of government officials on key issues, and Chamber events and programs. The Chamber also offers its Leadership Albuquerque program – a premier professional development opportunity – to businesses in the metro area, advertises investor deals and announcements in a twice-monthly newsletter, and issues certificates of origin for companies that produce and export local goods.
