TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION: Goodwill Industries graduates solar installer training program cohort

Goodwill Industries of New Mexico graduated a cohort from its solar installer training program.

On April 22, Chamber member Goodwill Industries of New Mexico graduated a cohort of its solar installer training program.

According to Goodwill, the fast-growing solar industry has a high demand for knowledgeable installers.

In the program, participants learn:

  • Electrical energy fundamentals
  • Solar and storage safety standards
  • Solar and storage installation basics
  • Steps to commission a system
  • Common maintenance tasks
  • Solar site evaluation
  • Customer service excellence

According to Goodwill, after graduation Goodwill will help with career opportunities with great starting salaries, as well as job placement support.

Applications are now being accepted for the next program in early June 2025.
