BUILDING CONNECTIONS: From Chamber champion to trailblazer in leadership research

Janice Honeycutt Hering is turning her passion for community into groundbreaking research on how successful leaders navigate high‑risk uncertainty.

For nearly 10 years, Janice Honeycutt Hering guided the Chamber’s Leadership, Education & Small Business programs, connecting hundreds of executives through Leadership Albuquerque and spotlighting the issues that shape our region.

Today, as a PhD candidate, she is turning that same passion into groundbreaking research on how successful leaders navigate high‑risk uncertainty — and the Greater Albuquerque Chamber is proud to support her next chapter.

“Janice did a wonderful job leading our Leadership Albuquerque Program for so many years. We’re pleased to help her on her next leadership journey,” says Terri Cole, president and CEO of the Chamber.

Be part of the story

Honeycutt Hering is inviting a select group of Central New Mexico founders, owners and CEOs to share their real‑world decision‑making experiences.

To qualify, you need to:

  • Hold equity as a founder, owner or CEO
  • Operate within the four‑county Central New Mexico region
  • Have run your business since at least 2019
  • Reported $2 million–$100 million in 2024 revenues

What participation looks like

You’ll contribute through two 45‑minute confidential interviews and a brief weekly audio journal capturing any high‑risk decisions you faced — designed to fit smoothly into a busy leader’s schedule.

Continue the Chamber’s tradition of leaders lifting leaders

If you meet the criteria and would like to participate, email Janice at [email protected] today. Spaces are limited; secure your spot and help illuminate how courageous decisions are made when it matters most!
