THE NEXT GENERATION: Leadership Albuquerque taking applications for its 2025-2026 program

The 2025-2026 Leadership Albuquerque program doesn’t begin until September, so there’s still time to get in on the action.

The eight-month program develops and prepares professionals to expand their influence in their organizations and increase their engagement in the community.

This year’s program will be chaired by Chamber Board member Jeremy Oswald of Citizens Bank; Board member Leean Kravitz of Fidelity Investments will serve as vice chair.

The program uses monthly educational days to develop leadership while highlighting key topics including K-12 education, economic development, public safety and behavioral health, energy and national defense, state and local government, Downtown transformation, tourism, culture and quality of life.

The program is in its 45th year and has had an impact on the cultivation of future leaders.

Some of the takeaways from the class of 2025 included:

  • 100% of participants said they would recommend Leadership ABQ to others, most indicating they would do so enthusiastically.
  • Remarkably, on a 1-10 scale, 50% of the class rated the program a “10” on five core fronts.
  • One of our participants was new to Albuquerque and noted how quickly they were able to gain insight into the community’s assets and challenges … and build a network that it would have taken a long time to build otherwise.

Applications will be taken through Aug. 15, 2025. Click here to download the application. We encourage Chamber members to sign up an employee to participate in this long-standing program.

The Chamber thanks program sponsors PNM, Jaynes, French Funerals and Cremations, Citizens Bank, Fidelity Investments, Comcast and Madrid Wealth Management.
