SAVE THE DATE: Panda Express teams up with Albuquerque Reads to raise money for program on Jan. 22

Mark your calendars! Albuquerque Reads is collaborating with Chamber member Panda Express for a virtual community fundraiser.

On Thursday, Jan. 22, 28% of online sales using the code 9010698 from online orders will go to Albuquerque Reads. Details on how to order online or in the app and help us give the gift of literacy are at right.

Albuquerque Reads is a classroom-based tutoring program that helps struggling kindergarten and first-grade readers boost their literacy achievement to enable lifelong learning.

For more than 20 years, Albuquerque Public Schools and the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce have collaborated with volunteers in making a lasting difference in a child’s life.

Fast Facts on Albuquerque Reads:

  • A one-on-one literacy tutoring program at three elementary schools: Whittier, Atrisco and Bel-Air.
  • Delivers 90 minutes each week of personalized literacy tutoring for each kindergarten-first-grade Title I student in the program (Sept – May) and supplies every student it serves with up to 20 books for their at-home library.
  • Access to online reading resources for at-home reading.
