Michelle S. Kavanaugh

Bernalillo County Clerk Michelle S. Kavanaugh launched a new feature, Recite Me, on the Clerk’s website to provide more equitable access to information and services for everyone.

This innovative tool provides comprehensive online experience, allowing visitors to access digital content and essential services more easily.

“As part of our diversity and inclusion practice, we want to serve every voter and resident of Bernalillo County, that means meeting people where they are, whether online, in person, or through language and accessibility support,” says Kavanaugh. “We’re proud to offer a website experience that is designed to be inclusive.”

The Recite Me toolbar is accessible by clicking the Recite Me button located in the bottom left corner of the Clerk’s website berncoclerk.gov.

Features include:

  • Screen reader and magnifier tools
  • On-demand translation in 100+ languages
  • Adjustable fonts, colors and spacing for readability
  • A built-in dictionary, ruler and reading mask
  • Custom styling for users with neurodiverse needs
