MAKING AN IMPACT: Chamber shows support as Love’s Travel Stops updates its location on 6th Street

Employees from Love’s Travel Stops take part in the reopening of its location at 2200 6th St. NW.

On Nov. 13, the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce participated in the reopening of Love’s Travel Stops at 2200 6th St. NW.

The location got updated to bring it up to modern Love’s standards.

Love’s Travel Stops is the nation’s leading travel stop network, with 644 Love’s locations in 42 states. It was founded in 1964 and is headquartered in Oklahoma City.

Love’s provides professional truck drivers and motorists with 24-hour access to clean and safe places to purchase gasoline, diesel fuel, fresh coffee, restaurant offerings and more. Love’s has over 430 truck service centers, which include Speedco and Love’s Truck Care locations.

Love’s currently has two locations in Albuquerque — with a third location being planned near the Albuquerque International Sunport. Statewide, Love’s has 13 locations.

At the event, Love’s presented a $5,000 donation to the UNM Children’s Hospital. Since 1999, it has raised more than $60 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country.

The Chamber celebrates Love’s Travel Stops success not only in New Mexico, but across the country.
