INTEL ANNOUNCEMENT: $8.5B in Federal CHIPS Act Funding Will Boost Semiconductor Manufacturing in the U.S.

Intel will receive up to $8.5 billion in CHIPS Act funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce to support its ongoing investment and expansion activities in the U.S., including in New Mexico.

New Mexico is home to Intel’s leading advanced packaging manufacturing hub, and earlier this year, Intel celebrated the opening of Fab 9, a key milestone in its $4 billion investment in the state. This investment has already created more than 3,000 construction jobs and is expected to create 700 high-tech jobs and support an additional 3,500 jobs in New Mexico. Learn more about this landmark federal investment here.

We’re proud to have Intel as a member of our Chamber community. Please join us in celebrating this amazing investment that will power our nation’s future and bring new jobs and economic prosperity to the Albuquerque metro community!
