FLYING HIGH: Kirtland Air Fiesta 2025 to feature aerial demonstrations, static displays

Kirtland Air Force Base will host its annual Air Fiesta 2025 on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1.

Attendees can look forward to a current line-up of performances by the U.S. Army Golden Knights, the F-16 Viper Demonstration Team from Shaw Air Force Base, and a comprehensive showcase from the 58th Special Operations Wing, including the MC-130, AC-130, HC-130, HH-60, Huey, and CV-22.

Park-and-ride lots open at 7 a.m., and gates open at 8 a.m. According to officials, flying starts at 10 a.m., the opening ceremony takes place at 10:25 a.m. and the show closes at 5 p.m.

Air Fiesta officials said though the event is open to the public, it’s important to either rideshare or park at the designated lots and hop on a bus to the base.

The following areas are spots to catch a ride to the event:

  • Isleta Amphitheater/Mesa Del Sol
  • Gateway Center (Gibson)
  • Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Gibson & San Pedro)
  • USS Bullhead Memorial Park (Gibson & San Pedro)

Pedestrian/Bike Entrance

  • FAA/ACE Dirt Parking Lot (Sunport Blvd. and Girard Blvd. on Lowry St.)
  • The pedestrian gate is located on Lowry St. just East of this parking lot and is a short walk to the Air Show festivities.

Allowed items are: sealed water bottles, ear protection, small folding chairs, cameras, sealed food, baby food, prescriptions, foldable strollers and wagons, umbrellas, small bags, wheelchairs and diaper bags.
