CONGRATULATIONS!: Titan Development breaks ground on food hall, hotel near Presbyterian

Titan Development broke ground on a hotel and food hall which will be near Presbyterian Hospital near Downtown.

After months of preparation, Titan Development broke ground a hotel and food hall on Central Avenue near Presbyterian Hospital.

On Friday, Aug. 8, Titan partner Kurt Browning and Mayor Tim Keller celebrated the project — which could help recruiting efforts for health care workers.

“This development represents more than just new business — it’s a vital community asset that will directly serve our dedicated health care workers and patients. Congratulations to the Titan team,” said Terri Cole, Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce president and CEO.

The Residence Inn by Marriott is planned to be five stories tall and have 126 extended-stay rooms. Meanwhile, the food hall will be located on the bottom floor and have around 12 vendors. It is slated to be called Highlands Central Market.

According to Titan, the food hall will connect with the bottom floor of the neighboring SpringHill Suites by Marriott to the east — which Titan also developed and owns alongside Maestas Development Group.

Titan expects to finish the project in late 2026. The construction phase will employ 125 people. The hotel and food hall will create roughly 40 permanent jobs when it is open.

The project is one phase of a larger master mixed-use redevelopment plan that Titan has been developing for well over a decade.

The Chamber congratulates Titan on pursuing the vision of making Albuquerque a better place to live, run a business and raise a family!
