ALBUQUERQUE READS CONTINUES TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN LITERACY

Albuquerque Reads is a classroom-based tutoring program that helps struggling kindergarten and first-grade readers boost their literacy achievement to enable lifelong learning.

The Chamber is seeking volunteers for the school year. Tutoring runs mid-September through May and requires just 90 minutes a week of your time – or join a team with friends or colleagues and tutor once a month!

Join Albuquerque Public Schools, the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce and volunteers like you to make a lasting difference in a child’s life!

The program is still seeking tutors for both Atrisco and Whittier elementary schools. For more information on becoming a tutor or sponsor, visit abqreads.com or contacts Kayla Nelson at [email protected].

The Chamber thanks our many sponsors of the Albuquerque Reads program in helping acquire books for our monthly distributions!
