SOLARE COLLEGIATE: ABQ Charter in the Business of Defying Odds

With an extraordinary school year just weeks away from being in the rearview mirror, we’re spotlighting a charter school the Chamber supported through its launch a couple years ago. Solare Collegiate is a middle school that serves largely low-income students whose strong academic performance proves that demography is not destiny. Its founder and director is a Leadership Albuquerque alum too, Rachael Sewards.

Watch the video here to hear testimonials from the students themselves. We’re proud of the excellent work Rachael and her team have accomplished for our kids, so feel free to share!
