Yesterday, the Bernalillo County Commission approved a second round of applications for CARES small business grants, with applications opening Monday. Awards will distribute the $1.8 million that remain of the original $5 million dedicated to the program.
Since the program launched June 22, the county has distributed approximately $3.2 million in 345 grants of up to $10,000 each. This second round of applications will provide more small businesses with the assistance they need to continue their operations, without the burden of debt.
To qualify, businesses must be located within Bernalillo County, hold a business license, have up to 50 employees, and have no more than $3 million in annual taxable receipts.
