COVID-19 Video Update #12 – Lovelace Biomedical President and CEO Dr. Robert Rubin

From time to time during the COVID-19 public health emergency, we will be sending video messages from community leaders that provide Albuquerque-area businesses with information, perspectives, and updates about the spread of the virus, mitigation strategies, directives, and resources.

Please take a moment to watch the video below from Chamber Board member and Lovelace Biomedical President and CEO Dr. Robert Rubin on the progress being made toward a vaccine, the role of therapeutic treatments in managing the virus, considerations for re-opening the economy, and more.

Lovelace Biomedical is a not-for-profit contract research organization with a reputation for cutting edge research, and a long history of advancing the science of respiratory medicine and biology. Dr. Rubin’s bottom line is clear: COVID-19 will be around us for quite some time, and we’ll need to be careful about how we deal with it.

This video reflects information available as it is known currently; of course, this health emergency and the responses to it continue to rapidly evolve.

The Chamber extends our sincere appreciation to Dr. Rubin for taking the time to update us today, and our thanks to all those in the medical community working to protect and care for our citizens.
