COVID-19 Video Update #7 – ICBA President and CEO Jerry Walker

From time to time during the COVID-19 public health emergency, we will be sending video messages from community leaders that provide Albuquerque-area businesses with information, perspectives, and updates about the spread of the virus, mitigation strategies, directives, and resources.

Please take a moment to watch the video below from Jerry Walker, President and CEO of the Independent Community Banker’s Association, one of the Chamber’s community partners. Mr. Walker addresses the early rollout of the Paycheck Protection Program — a key federal support program for small businesses — and the role community banks play in pushing out those loans to businesses. This video reflects information available as of Thursday, April 9th; this health emergency and the responses to it continue to rapidly evolve.

The Chamber extends our sincere appreciation to Mr. Walker for taking the time to update us today, and our thanks to all those working hard to keep our state and national economy moving.
