STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION: ABQ Crime Stats Show Progress

With 2023 behind us, public safety leaders are taking stock of the year Albuquerque had – and there’s some good news.

Arrests are up, use of force and the arrest warrant backlog are going down, and the support of technology and the Albuquerque Community Safety department is helping sworn officers keep our streets safer the smart way.

Of course, our city has some ground to cover to ensure our community feels safe enough to want to work and raise a family here or start and grow a business here. But these numbers are encouraging, and they offer a foundation to build momentum on in 2024.
