EFFORT TO EDUCATE: Trees, Water & People focuses on maintaining land, water and community

Members of the environmental organization Trees, Water & People celebrate its ribbon cutting at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center on Oct. 29.

The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce led a ribbon cutting for Trees, Water & People reception event at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center on Oct. 29.

The Chamber joined Gov. Thomas Moquino Jr. from Santo Domingo Pueblo in celebrating the event.

Trees, Water & People is an environmental organization with a focus on educating and uplifting people to be good stewards of our land, water and community. It is working to secure partners for the Capulin Canyon Watershed Restoration Project, led by James Calabaza, his team, and leadership from Santo Domingo, Cochiti and Jemez pueblos.
