CULTIVATING COMMUNITY: SOMOS ABQ returns to National Hispanic Cultural Center with music, food, art

Flamenco dancing will be featured at SOMOS ABQ at the National Hispanic Cultural Center on May 10.
On Saturday, May 10, the creative community of Burque will transform the National Hispanic Cultural Center into a living, breathing work of art — a place where music, creativity and culture collide in a kaleidoscope of color, movement, sound and connection.

SOMOS ABQ is back to transform the NHCC with large-scale art installations, hands-on maker activities, and interactive experiences that invite all ages to create, play and explore. Visitors will be able to savor Albuquerque with local food, craft beverages and bold flavors, from traditional New Mexican bites to creative culinary twists. Explore a curated market of artisans and makers, showcasing handcrafted goods, art and unique treasures from local makers.

There will be music by Shannon and the Clams and Chromeo’s DJ set. The event is from 4-11 p.m. Ticket information can be found at eventbrite.com.
