CHANGING OF LEADERSHIP: Unirac Inc. CEO Peter Lorenz steps up to chair Chamber Board of Directors; Esparza Advertising + Digital CEO Del Esparza completes one-year term

Del Esparza, CEO of Esparza Advertising + Digital and outgoing chair of the Chamber’s Board, holds his award, the sculpture “Gratitude,” at the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors meeting June 26.

On Thursday, June 26, Del Esparza, Esparza Advertising + Digital CEO, was at the helm of his last meeting as chairman of the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Peter Lorenz, CEO of Unirac Inc. and incoming chair of the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, will begin his role on July 1.

On July 1, Peter Lorenz will take over in the role. Lorenz returns to the GACC chairman position, where he served from 2022-2023 and has been the CEO of Unirac Inc. since 2011.

“Del has truly made a difference this last year in this business community and in this state, we want to express our appreciation to you for your dedication, your vision, your tireless service and your wonderful sense of humor,” said Terri Cole, GACC president/CEO. “What sets Del apart, though, is not just his business acumen, but his genuine commitment to lift others up.”

Bruce Stidworthy, GACC past chair and Bohannan Huston CEO, applauded Esparza as well for a job well done.

“There’s an expression that people always say about you put your money where your mouth is, but to me, the maybe even more valuable thing is time, and what’s important is that you put your time where your heart is,” Stidworthy told Esparza. “I know your heart is for the best to our state and our community, and your leadership as a Chamber leader really illustrates that you have put your time where your heart is. Thank you for investing time into our community.”
