Chamber urges business community to get involved in UNM president search

As the University of New Mexico Board of Regents begins its quest to find a new president, the Chamber urges its members and the business community to take part in the upcoming public process.

Regents will host a series of listening sessions, including listening sessions open to the entire university community, in November to help inform the leadership profile that will guide the national search. The sessions will be in person and allow for virtual participation.

The open forums are:

Tuesday, Nov. 18 – 3-4:30 p.m. MST

Location: UNM Student Union Building, Mirage-Thunderbird Room

Virtual: Zoom link to be posted at presidentialsearch.unm.edu

Wednesday, Nov. 19 – 10-11:30 a.m. MST

Location: UNM Domenici Education Center North Room 3170

Virtual: Zoom link to be posted at presidentialsearch.unm.edu

Those unable to attend are encouraged to share feedback online at presidentialsearch.unm.edu.

Having a voice in the process is important and the Chamber is pleased to see UNM Regents looking to the community in shaping the criteria in the search for UNM’s 24th president.
