Decades of Service: UNM Health System CEO and Chamber Board Member Dr. Paul Roth Announces Retirement

After more than 40 years at the University of New Mexico — including more than 25 years as the dean of the medical school and nearly 15 years as Health Sciences Chancellor — Dr. Paul Roth announced his retirement last week. The Chamber offers its congratulations and gratitude for everything Dr. Roth has contributed to the University, the city’s health care system, and the community at large.

“It is simply impossible to adequately describe the positive impact Dr. Roth has had on the well-being of people in our community,” said Chamber President and CEO Terri Cole. “He has been a visionary on health care in New Mexico, a steady and effective leader of our flagship university, and a long-time backer of the Chamber and its mission. We wish him every joy that retirement can bring.”
